This simple to use battery checker is designed to be fitted permanently into a model where the LED sequence allows you to monitor the voltage of your on-board NiCd and NiMH batteries.Suitable for use with 4,5,6 or 7 cell battery packs by pre-selection of the two toggle switches on the rear of the PCB.
Firstly, plug the battery checker into a spare channel on the receiver. You can use a “Y” lead to share a channel with a servo if your model does not have any spare channels.
If your battery is fully charged you will see the Green LED light up when you turn on your radio system. Move the transmitter sticks in circular movements which will cause the servo’s to produce a load on the receiver battery and show whether you have enough power in you battery to safely operate the model. Depending on the run time / flight time, it should be safe to operate as long as only the green LEDs are lit, if any other colours light up you should recharge your battery pack before operating your model.
