This is one of a range of sensors designed and developed by FrSKY to collect important flight information and performance data which can then be transmitted via a telemetry-enabled receiver to a telemetry-compatible transmitter or module where it can be displayed on an LCD screen.
This particular sensor uses GPS to feed variable directional information such as altitude, position, speed, and UTC time etc. which can be displayed in real time on a FrSky telemetry enabled transmitter or telemetry dashboard featured on the DHT-U module with integrated telemetry and in-built display with audio alarms or FLD-02, FSD etc.
With this sytem, it is possible to view the last known co-ordinates after the link between the transmitter and receiver is lost, thus helping you to locate a lost model.
This latest version (V2) is compatible only with FrSky Smart Port enabled receivers, such as the X8R, X6R, X4R,
