This is the AEO K1 KV meter it measures the rpm and KV for brushless motors. It can also be used to measure the rpm/kv for brushed motors when using an optional Hall Sensor. Using a high performance CMOS chip, it displays voltage, rpm, magnet poles number and KV.
A watt meter will usually provide most of the information you need to know about your motor but not the KV. This instrument is very useful for determining the number of winds of the motor and the resulting KV (rpm/V) rating. The manufacturer normally provides this but sometimes this information may be inaccurate, not provided or may be missing altogether if the motor has no label. If you build and wind your own motors you may find this very useful.
Display:
A. Voltage (example) 11123mV - indicates the voltage of the battery or power
supply as 11.1V
B. Kv - 000000kv - computed from the voltage and the no-load rpm
C. RPM - 0000000rpm - the no-load or on-load rpm at this voltage
D. Number of the pairs of magnet poles - (example) P:06 indicates a 12-pole
motor
